Question by Kate: Is this a good diet plan?
I’m 5’5 and about 140 now. =( I want to get down to 120 asap.
Everyday, I will eat:
Oatmeal (made with water, not milk) -160 calories
1/2 a bagel w/ cream cheese -about 200 calories
apple -about 75 calories
20 almonds -140 calories
a big salad -about 250 calories
1 cup frozen yogurt with berries/banana/any fruit -about 250 calories
-run 1-3 miles everyday
-do some ab stuff some days
Will this help me lose weight? How long do you think it will take for me to get down to 120?
and the salad has some pieces of baked chicken breast in it

The diet plan sounds okay. Drink lots of water. It will help cleanse you.
Im 5’5, 140 too. D: Im trying to lose weight also.
Some exersizes that you can do are;
Squats- one with your legs pretty close together, one with legs regular(a bit more far away then how you normally stand.) Then wide sqauts. Do about 8 reps. each.
Lunges- do 8- 4 on each leg across your room.
also, between each lunge you could do a couple of squats of you choice.
Leg up- These are kinda odd but they help your thigh muscles- What you do is bring you knee up to your stomach and pull your arms down as each leg comes up.
It’s kinda hard t explain. But do them first in front, then out to the side. About 30 each.(They are really easy.)
To burn extra calories, go for walks everyday. First start out with just 5 minute walks, then gradually increase to 10, 15, 20 mins. It might be hard to go out in the cold weather, so try to do it in midday, maybe after school? If you have a dog, take him/her with you!

I am taking these exersizes out of this power 90 exersize program that was stached away in my house. It is what I am going to use to help exersize.

AB EXERSIZES- Don’t do these too quickly because you may get sore. :] Also, if you feel the burn, don’t stop go on until you feel that you have done enough. :p
Crunches- 10 regular- then turn your legs to the side but make sure you abdomen stays vertical- 10 on each side ,or more if you like,it’s hard for me to explain some other ones but here’s a link to some.
Also, during normal daily acitivities, for instance the fridge, if you tkae multiple items, out for cooking or something, put those items 1 by one back in. Walk over, grab, one, walk back, etc.
I did the little calculator for you,and if you BURNED 1000 calories per day, you could reach 120 pounds in 2 months 10 days. Try it for your self. I really like this website
